Roots

roots: The part of a plant that attaches it to the ground or to a support, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant.

 

I changed the blog header, because it is official that the Mancias are no longer modern-day nomads...we are now the proud owners of a new home on a lovely street in Charlotte, where we plan to stay for a long, long time.  It has truly been a dream of ours to plant our family somewhere amazing and watch it grow.  Over the past 4.5 years, we have racked up 6 moves, thousands of frequent flier miles, countless nights apart, all managed via a spreadsheet to know which way was up. 

 

While we are still managing to have quite a few nights apart, thanks to my job, and we are still managing to rack up a few frequent flier miles (in fact we headed to the courthouse this morning to get little E his first passport!!) we are rooted in the fact that we always have a place to come home to...

My dear hopefully soon-to-be brother-in-law :) took these pictures of us...may we always be as happy and in love with each other as we were this day...we are blessed.
