New York in December...how could I forget?

I completely forgot about one of our adventures...so I'm going back to 2011 to post about our fabulous trip to NYC in December.  It was literally 48 hours, but we figured it was better than nothing, because jet-setting will be much harder in the post-baby M days!  We stayed with my great friends from college in Brooklyn, Cristy and Jackson, who happen to have a baby girl on the way just 3 weeks before our little surprise arrives!  It was really exciting to get to exchange stories of the uncertainties of pregnancy...although I'm sure the boys were tired of it by the end of the weekend!  Here are some highlights from our whirlwind trip!!

Saturday - we started the day with a trip to the TKTS in Brooklyn to grab tickets to a show.  We took the subway in to Manhattan, and just walked....everywhere. We visited Central Park, checked out all the store windows decorated for Christmas, had some great food, saw the tree at Rockafeller Center, shopped a tiny bit, visited some outdoor holiday markets, and finished the day with a trip to Wall Street (as any good banking employee/MBA graduates would need to do).

It was a day where we really did nothing and everything at all, which was wonderful!  We had high hopes for walking back over the Brooklyn Bridge, but it got dark and cold, and we had dinner reservations with Cristy and Jackson at Vinegar Hill House in Brooklyn.  Cristy is one of my original foodie friends, so as expected, it was a great night.  http://www.vinegarhillhouse.com/

Sunday - After brunch with Cris and Jackson, and a walk around Brooklyn, where I have spent very little time, we headed over to Broadway to see Chicago.  As my Broadway loving sister Kara had promised, it was a great show.  We just had time enough after to grab a quick bite with Juan Pablo's friends from college, Jill and Tom, and then we were off to the airport!  It was a quick trip, but oh so much fun!  Here's a shot of Cristy and me...no bumps are so visible yet, but I can't wait to share this picture with both of our little ones and tell them of our adventures together!  Thanks guys!!
